The Original Astronauts
Apollo was founded in 2011 by a small group of students with a vision for a new special interest organization. As of THON 2018, Apollo has become a top fundraising organization, supports three amazing families, and has raised a cumulative total of over $700,000 to fight pediatric cancer.
We have accomplished all of this because of our motto: Never Give Up (NGU).
Apollo has three main missions:
What separates Apollo from other organizations is our culture: We tend to hide our serious dedication and work ethic underneath a layer of goofiness and fun. Simply put, we work hard but don't take ourselves too seriously and have a great time every time we get together. Our meetings are never predictable and include outrageous Youtube videos, donut eating contests, and human pyramids, but are also deceivingly productive. We're a group of friendly, down to earth people who are here to have fun and make friends, but also fiercely support our families and a cause we passionately care about.

In 2011, the NGU spirit first took flight, bringing together a group of friends in a fight for a cure.
They chose to call themselves, Apollo, named after the Greek god of the sun, music and dance. It wasn’t by coincidence that later that year Apollo sent its first dancer pair to the floor for 46, and from there the Apollo galaxy only expanded!
